My credentials include a Master’s Degree in Teaching & Learning: Special Education; a Graduate Certificate in e-learning Technology and Design: Instructional Design, a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology; and five years as a substitute and elective teacher. I am passionate about learning and helping students of various ages achieve academic and personal success.
I have a commitment to teaching students of varying skill levels and aptitudes with a dedication to learning and achievement. I have had the opportunity to teach a diverse group of students including those with ADD/ADHD, Asperger’s Syndrome, dyslexia, dysgraphia, mild Autism, ESL, speech impairments, and physical challenges. These experiences have assisted me in developing a compassion for the needs of individual students that considers their unique learning styles and abilities and then structures lessons plans and activities to accommodate them.
I simplify complex processes and can easily adapt to various learning styles.
I love to read and use my passion for words to inspire students and make reading more fun. I am also a published author and book writing coach.
