Along with my tutoring experience, I was an assistant researcher in the Cancer Center at the University of Minnesota, performing biological research on transgenic mice. My passions for education and research helped me achieve an Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) award for my work with myelomonocytic leukemia in mice.
I am currently a medical student. I enjoy all areas of medicine, and have worked as a volunteer at numerous hospitals and clinics, as well as at an internship in clinical research in the emergency room of a level one trauma center. I am a member of the Minnesota Medical Reserve Corps and Health Careers Center Advisory board, where I help other pre-health students explore potential career options. Apart from my research and medical interests, I enjoy courses in music, Shakespeare and psychology.
